Programming in Lua is the official book about the language, giving a solid base for any programmer who wants to use Lua. Authored by Roberto Ierusalimschy, the chief architect of the language, it covers all aspects of Lua 5 --- from the basics to its API with C --- explaining how to make good use of its features and giving numerous code examples.

Professional XNA Game Programming shows how you can write your very own games for the Xbox 360 platform as well as Windows. Written by a professional game developer and Microsoft DirectX MVP, this unique book feeds the appetite of an audience that is hungry to get started building bleeding-edge 3D games for Xbox 360. It explains all the tools and libraries that are needed to build full-fledged games using the C# programming language

Free Isometric game Sprites and Tilesets Minimize

Here are some free isometric sprites/tilesets for you to use when prototyping up your Isometric games.  You can use them freely for any non commerial use.  If you would like to use them for any commercial use then please contact me (buzzrick@nospam_hotmail.com) and I'm sure that we can work something out.

I know that they are not very high in quality, and the stickman actor tileset isn't very pretty, but I'm still using them with my TileEngine game development platform as placeholders while I develop it.

If you find then at all useful, then please help me out by clicking on a google advert or two, plus make reference or a link to where you got them (ie: http://soapdragon.emedia.co.nz).
